My beaded spiders were such a huge hit last year! I made spider rings and spider hair pins and spider necklaces. Looks like they are going to be a huge hit again this year since they are going to be on the cover of Better Homes and Gardens Halloween Edtion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yep, that's right!!! So excited.

So I've been ordering a bunch of beads lately, in order to remake the ones I already offer and to order a whole new batch of spiders. These ones will be multi-colored and very cool! I am happy to say that the beads have arrived and I will be starting work on the new ones tomorrow!! I know, you're super excited aren't you!!! Me too!

Gothic Cross Choker Necklace - Transformation

This piece is a true vampire of a necklace! Just wait till you see it in person! All of the crystals on this cross appear black in a dark room or at night, but turn it in the right light or wear it out in the sun and the middle crystal transforms before your eyes into a stunning purple!!

The stunning pewter cross hangs from a hand braided satin cord, with a silverplate lobster claw and extension chain, even a little Swarovski surprise at the end of the chain!!

Another Treasury Tuesday

Today's treasury is a hands-down, easy pick for me! Fall is my very favorite season. I love everything about it, from the colors, to the chill in the air, to the smells. I even love how it starts getting dark earlier, since I'm such a night person!

Treasury Tuesday

My booth got butterflied!!!

We do First Fridays Art Walk the first Friday of every month, May through September. It's a nice little festival atmosphere with a great group of awesome artists (many of them from Etsy as well). This time, at the last moment, daughter and I came up with a fabulous idea for decorating the booth for a little pizazz.

We ended up spending hours punching out hundreds of little butterfiles out of scrapbook paper and both of us ended up with aching hands. But I think the result was so pretty!!! What do you think?

Oh, and hubby and daughter got to enjoy a nice carriage ride as well! They had so much fun!!!

The Countess - My newest favorite necklace

Okay, first, I have to say I am in LOVE with this necklace!!! It's pretty simple, but it's sooooooo me! I love, love, love the brass filigree stamping that I purchased and customized a bit, I love the way I ended up hanging the briolettes, as they just didn't look right with a normal old wrap. I love the way it looks on too! Good thing I have supplies to make more of these, as I have claimed this one as mine, and I've made another one for my shop.

It's all brass, with faceted grey glass drops and little black Swarovski in the chain to match. Thanks for looking!!

2 Year Etsyversary

Yep! Today's my 2 year Etsyversary. It took me a long time to get it going, but i think I'm finally figuring it out! I think I've come a long way in 2 years!! Here's to many more wonderful years!!!!

Confessions of an Etsy Addict

Jenifer stands up and turns to face the crowd in front of her. "Hello. My name is Jenifer and I am an Etsy addict."

It's true. It's a fact I tried to deny for so long now, but my family has seen it for a while and I have finally come to terms and have opened my eyes to the truth.

It all started so innocently. I dabbled with a shop like so many people, just to try and see what it was like. Then I started to get a sale or two. Man, that feeling was just incredible. I thought that I could be good with that feeling every now and then, but then the sales started coming in more frequently. I quickly discovered that the more sales I got, the more sales I wanted. It was never enough! Watching those number of sales go up just gets my heart pumping and I just want to shout "WOOOHOOOO!!", and I often do!

I use to only renew once or twice a day, but my renewing habit has quickly grown to 10 to 13 times a day, and I have to "check" my shop at least 1 or 2 times in between each of those renewals.

I stay up till ALL hours of the night just to catch an elusive treasury!

When I was at an art show the other day, I spent half of my time dying to check my shop and to renew something. I've even convinced my husband that I'll eventually have to buy a Blackberry so that I can maintain my habit even while I'm out.

Every time Etsy is down for maintenance, I watch those same silly videos for HOURS, then I go to Twitter and tweet about Etsy being down and I go to the SJA forum and post about how much it sucks!

I live Etsy, I sleep Etsy, I daydream Etsy, I talk Etsy. I truly am 100% completely and utterly addicted to Etsy.

My poor family. I feel bad that they should have to live with this addiction. Guess I'll have to go browsing on Etsy to find them all some fabulous handmade make-up gifts! lolol!

A Night At The Opera - the Earrings

What do you picture when you think about going to the opera? No, no, no. I don't mean being bored and falling asleep. lol! When I think about going to the opera, I think about getting dressed up in the fanciest dress I can find, getting my hair done into an upsweep at the salon, and finding some glamorous, stunningly gorgeous jewelry to make the whole look really pop.
